I hate morning classes...

So I just got out of Math class (which they now require us to take come in for [at least we get 10 points extra on packets]), after getting here at 9:15 after getting up at 8:05 after getting less than 3 hours sleep because my body wouldn't tip over already...
Ugh, I'm tired...

The amazing Wordsnatcher and I are corresponding right now as she helps me rewrite Sinful Rose, Crimson King. I'm still working through some plot stuff on CK, but hopefully I'll start rewriting soon... I had to create a new document, it's going to be so different than the original. Plus I wanted to keep the original as a momento of my first NaNoWriMo win.

I'll post more later, since I need to go home now...

yeah, I'm in the same boat. :( For some reason (health? dunno) I keep waking up after 3-4 hours of sleep and being *up* for the day. I can't get back to sleep all day no matter how hard (or not) I try. Except during class, of course. I have 8:30 classes 4 days a week so I've been having seizures almost nonstop since classes started. Today I had a nervous breakdown over it and emailed my professors that I couldn't come in due to seizures. I don't think they want me there when I'm having seizures anyways, lol. Getting up early is so terrible, though. :( I dread getting back on a "normal" ten-hour sleep cycle and dragging myself out of the warm bed at 7. D: At least it'll warm up soon, eh? =/

well, I've never had a TC (so far! Hopefully I haven't just jinxed it...) but I do know that's not generally how seizures go, unless it's extremely bizarre. You generally wake up pretty fast (she probably would have been awake again by the time he started to pick her up, but definitely before the hospital), and I can't imagine they'd hook her up to monitors after a seizure except the EEG-- but they wouldn't do that if they didn't know it was a seizure, and like I said she'd probably wake up pretty quickly but confused.

You can't really run tests for a seizure, unless she was having some sort of bizarre status epilepticus (i.e. the sort where you're completely still bit internally seizing), and if that was the case she wouldn't wake up on her own-- the doctors would be freaking out House style and shouting "I need 10 mg of ativan, stat!" and stuff, assuming they knew she had/was having seizures. It's important to note that having multiple seizures doesn't automatically equal epilepsy, though I guess if the doctor ran an EEG on her (but again, why would he unless he already knew she had a seizure?) he could potentially diagnose it at that point.

I know seizures can cause people to faint, but that's a relatively rare manifestation... and I would imagine if her parents were remotely well-to-do and loving and concerned about their daughters health (which they seem to be) they'd be current on the medicine. But that could vary, I guess. Anyhoo, it's mostly sound, but it might help to figure out why she was passed out for so long (and still woke up with an IQ in the triple digits, lol-- SE can cause major dips in that or death), why she has this super rare manifestation of epilepsy, why the doctor did a random EEG on someone who appeared to have just passed out before her parents got there, etc.

Actually her family isn't well to do...They barely can pay to have her go to private school later. The only reason she's able to go to Tech later with Giovanni is that Alden paid for it...

Hey, I just posted a section from my NaNoWriMo novel on ff.net about the main char having a tonic-clonic. The whole novel is pretty explanatory about seizures, as she begins having simple partial seizures due to a head injury and they get progressively worse until she has a tonic clonic and then later goes into Status Epilepticus. :) But Chapter 13 is pretty much all you need for TC's.

Could complications from a past bout of scarlet fever cause it to act strangely? They weren't able to treat it w/meds because said meds were not available to them @ the time...
