ARGH

So I've been working on a kickass cover for my "brother" Mike's book on Revalation, When the Stars Fall. And I swear if the publisher gives us one more thing to change on it, I'll smack a bitch. Seriously, he's like, well we need bleed space, oh it has to be black, raise the dpi and size, but I'm not gonna tell you the spine width you requested, nope nope!

GAH!!!!

In other news, I've been tagged as 'eligible' on my application to go to Israel for free this summer. Unfortunately, Ezra USA already has a waiting list...
*prays she gets to go*
If nothing else, I'll apply through a few different places...

Also, I have a frakking awesome new userpic. *dance dance* You can't deny those two are delicious.
GIOVANNI IN FLUFFY SHIRT FTW!
Okay, I'll stop now :)

Aw man, I just remembered I gotta go to the orthodontist tomorrow...

;_; I hate ortho appointments...

Alright, that's all for now. I'm off to take my shower-a-day (I'm horribly OCD about that...)
Just call me Hannelore! :)
Bye!

I was never really a huge fan of that couple, I always saw it as one-sided but it just works for my fic and I'm already inundated with OC's as it is.

and you made me want to find a pic of giovanni with a fluffy shirt dang it...

I know, it's sort of a hopeful pairing, like I HOPE she gets the balls to tell him at some point...
It's hardly my main ship for that canon, though. That'd be Blue/Silver :)

Haha, yeah, my fanon requires a hell a lot of OCs, just to help flesh things out.
And of course my main fanon has Seren :P

UGH I know, it's so... "delicious"? Is that the right word?
Before that pic, I couldn't have seen that. But I love the pic so much!
Kind of reminds me of Edgeworth... haha.
Fluffy shirt gio: OBJECTION!
XD Damn, now it's stuck in my head!

BTW, since you've been reading the fics... I know that Legacy and Bare are probably my best, but...what sets them apart? Is it the psychology that you mentioned, or is it a sort of tone or what? I was thinking about it earlier, and figured I'd ask. Because I want to expand my stories out, write some non Gio-centric ones (hahaha what.), just to expand my repetoire. Don't want to be a one-trick pony,ya know?
I think I'll try writing some Humour. Actually, I have a MST of The Eye of Argon I've been meaning to write...
Maybe I'll MST My Immortal after that?

well, writing wise it seemed on-par with your other fics, but because I'm deeply fascinated with psychology (mostly trauma related) that those particular fics I like the most. It's more of a personal preference...

as for tone, "Bare" for me it seemed sad and gray like a tree in the winter, considering the title of the fic... it seemed intentional.

Ugh, I hope it was BETTER than the other ones... unless that means all my stories are good...
Nah. Couldn't be.
Yay, psycho-ology! XD

Really? How very interesting... and I can't help but smile a bit at the description, albeit bitterly.
Do you mean that it was overall sad and depressing, or that it's sad, but there's that bit of life that starts to show as 'spring' comes?

(The title was just the prompt...It had more to do with the idea of "laying your soul bare" as it were.)

It's kind of funny, because the ending seems like a little bit of an upper, maybe like a bud emerging on the tree...
But is it? Since that starts the 'anime timeline' (maybe the anime starting a few years after), it's pretty obvious he hasn't gotten much better. He definitely went downhill, and Seren most certainly did too (she stays to the shadows as a bodyguard and Second.). Hell, Domino coming to live with them was one of the few high points, since she's the daughter of a friend who died on the mission with Miya. But she's got her own issues (she...really doesn't trust older men. If Junior [who is younger than her by about a year] hadn't reassured her constantly that his father would never hurt her, she probably wouldn't have gone through training to spearhead the Mt. Quenya operation. [Yeah, the Rochat family has issues...])
[/ramble]
Haha, thanks for listening to me ramble on like an idiot. It's nice having someone who likes the fics that I can talk about psychological stuff in the fandom with and stuff.

And dammit, Sad Smile Ash makes me feel kind of bad/good...it's kind of like an "everything will be alright" smile....argh, I wanna hug him! D:

BTW, since you like the psychological ones, here's Twisted Soul:
http://giovannixseren.livejournal.com/10841.html#cutid1
More the mindset behind the situations, but a lot of those will get explored...especially the one at 18 and 30-something (which, incidentally, would be shortly after Bare...)...more showing transition.
Unfortunately, Letting Go wasn't that good psychology wise...http://giovannixseren.livejournal.com/16960.html
>_< I really should have written that more indepth than I did, but...I DID NOT *sob*
But hey, it's better than Ice... XO

[identity profile] theindigokid.livejournal.com 2010-02-25 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
well, it is an upper ending, but it's still a long road...

I remember both of those! Out of those two though I must say I prefer "Letting go" even though I like both..

and yep, since my new account was "the indigo kid" that I decided to make all of my icons from the indigo season (which I'm in the camp of "only the first season counts") and it ended up being mostly Ash. But considering Ash is an ok kid I don't mind. (I've always preferred JJ&M, and secretly hoped as a kid one day Ash and co. would find out how sad their lives were/are and decide to help and they all end up one big happy family but alas that particular childhood dream will probably never happen)

A VERY long one... what was it...13 years from then to Legacy? No, 12, 13 is Candle (not written yet).
It's pretty bad when the phrase "it has to get worse to get better" applies very much there. They had to lose a child and almost lose a mother to get back to...well, not normal, but...more stable. >_>

Hm, really? I would have thought Twist was better, but that's just me. :P Let me guess, the mindet in Letting Go is better?

Haha, so now we need an Orange Kid?
:3 I've been watching S1 in Japanese (subbed), and it's making me fall in love all over again. It's like a coming-of-age story, instead of a children's cartoon feel.
I like that dream.
Funny, I thought about having Ash and Co help James and Giovanni rescue Jessie and Seren at one point... but I realized I didn't have a very good reason for them to be there, so I'm probably not going to have them in... maybe...
At least the draft was hilarious when Giovanni and Ash were having shouting matches XD
UGH, I want JJ&M to have a good ending, I really do. I love them to pieces.
