Ugh, I hope it was BETTER than the other ones... unless that means all my stories are good... Nah. Couldn't be. Yay, psycho-ology! XD
Really? How very interesting... and I can't help but smile a bit at the description, albeit bitterly. Do you mean that it was overall sad and depressing, or that it's sad, but there's that bit of life that starts to show as 'spring' comes?
(The title was just the prompt...It had more to do with the idea of "laying your soul bare" as it were.)
It's kind of funny, because the ending seems like a little bit of an upper, maybe like a bud emerging on the tree... But is it? Since that starts the 'anime timeline' (maybe the anime starting a few years after), it's pretty obvious he hasn't gotten much better. He definitely went downhill, and Seren most certainly did too (she stays to the shadows as a bodyguard and Second.). Hell, Domino coming to live with them was one of the few high points, since she's the daughter of a friend who died on the mission with Miya. But she's got her own issues (she...really doesn't trust older men. If Junior [who is younger than her by about a year] hadn't reassured her constantly that his father would never hurt her, she probably wouldn't have gone through training to spearhead the Mt. Quenya operation. [Yeah, the Rochat family has issues...]) [/ramble] Haha, thanks for listening to me ramble on like an idiot. It's nice having someone who likes the fics that I can talk about psychological stuff in the fandom with and stuff.
And dammit, Sad Smile Ash makes me feel kind of bad/good...it's kind of like an "everything will be alright" smile....argh, I wanna hug him! D:
BTW, since you like the psychological ones, here's Twisted Soul: http://giovannixseren.livejournal.com/10841.html#cutid1 More the mindset behind the situations, but a lot of those will get explored...especially the one at 18 and 30-something (which, incidentally, would be shortly after Bare...)...more showing transition. Unfortunately, Letting Go wasn't that good psychology wise...http://giovannixseren.livejournal.com/16960.html >_< I really should have written that more indepth than I did, but...I DID NOT *sob* But hey, it's better than Ice... XO
