Well, thanks to you, I've made icons of my OC's (just looking up things like "albino anime guy" "cute anime girl" etc. so the pics don't come from any specific series, the exception being mdame boss, who I intentionally used a picture of lust from fullmetal alchemist since they are like... twins) I'm going to use them as userpics to make my own journal specifically for this fic once I start writing it, I'm still working on the character sheet. but hey, I'll show them to you anyways:

I did figure out a name for her, Amaya (it means night rain, and yeah, all the names are meaningful... except for Jiro, who I made generic (it means "second son") just because...well, he doesn't deserve a nice meaningful name

For the record...

Carina, Valerio, and Renato are all italian names and mean "dear little" one, "strong/valorous", and "reborn" respectively. Matsuko and Minoru mean "pine tree child" and "bear fruit" as sort of a shout out to Giovanni's Japanese name being tree related... and it's also sort of ironic because Minoru died too young to "bear fruit" so to speak. Dessa is a latin name meaning "wandering" why latin? Just because I couldn't figure out what nationality to make her.

Well, since we're sharing name meanings...

Iian Giovanni- Both names are variants on John (The height of creativity! XD)
Seren Esther- "Seren" is "star" in Welsh, but is also a rank in the Israeli army (didn't actually know that when I named her) equivalent to Captain. Esther is Persian for "star", BUT is also a Hebrew word/name meaning "Something hidden". So, 'A star that is hidden' or 'A leader that is hidden', basically.

Alden (Gio's dad)- Is Old English for "Old friend" (haha, I found that out after I made him extremely loyal :P)

Ginata Isabella (MB)- Ginata is "flower" in Italian, and got chosen while angsting and listening to Bye bye, Beautiful by Nightwish D: (there's a line about a flower forsaking "the tree", and my mind ran with it... It was NaNoWriMo, okay?) Isabella's just the name I ever heard attributed to her, and it stuck in my head.

Miyamoto's given name is Hanako, and I just named her that because it seemed to work... :P
Domino's mother is Robin Mizaki. I don't have her husband and Miya's hubby named yet...

Rosa-Bree (the first of G&S's) just sounded nice, but she was named for the plant, and possibly for the town in LOTR (LOL)

The quadruplets are Junior, Giovanna, Yocheved, and Aino:
Giovanni jr and Giovanna are of course the same ("A gift from G-d", IIRC), Yocheved is "G-d's glory", and Aino is "The Only One" in...Finnish?. You know, back when they weren't evil and were fairly religious (haha what). (Yoki and Aino don't have middle names yet :P)

Jenni and Lilly are... I think it was Zivah Genevieve and Elisheva something-or-another respectively... >_> Can't find my notes...

The triplets are Elian Gavriel, Ahava Eliana, and Alden Kadmiel, and I had some fun with those. Elian Gavriel is "G-d has answered" (They'd been hoping for another boy after they thought Silver and his twin died) and with her father's name ("Hero of G-d" I think), Ahava Eliana "My G-d has answered in love", and Alden Kadmiel (Kadmiel is the Hebrew version of Alden) means "Old friend who stands before G-d", named after Giovanni's father, who is presumed dead.

Haha, nationality wise, mine are all over the place. Giovanni is Italian/French, as is his father, his mother is Italian. Seren is Israeli, but born in Viridian like Gio, her parents are from the states.
Miya is Japanese, like her husband, Robin is American, but her Husband is Japanese, and there's a few Irish and other folk OCs too...

As for Gio's Japanese name, I lampshaded it: A lot of Japanese have trouble pronouncing it probably, so after the saw the Earth Badge of his father's, they're like "Hey, it looks like a Sakaki branch", and it stuck as a nickname.
Seren (whose name got mistake for a Japanese pronunciation of Selene), just went with Hoshiko "Star Child" when she needed to. :P

well, if you consider all of the multiple personalities it develops from the 7 OC's I just posted to about 32... though it could be less... however it is at least at least 29. Out of those, only 2 really are necessary (giovanni has to have a dad and silver has to have a mom) though I don't consider the alternate personalities separate characters in their own right so that would bring it back down to 7 again.

I really can't emphasize enough how twisted this fic is, because in reality a condition like MPD can only develop through pretty horrific circumstances.

Though I havn't thought of more then a few as far as any semblance of a purpose and personality is concerned, all of the names are based off of the major arcana...

thus far, The Fool, The World, The Hanged man, The Devil, and the Lovers are somewhat developed. There are also 2 others that aren't related to the arcana (there were three but I changed one of them into The World) so that would make 24 not including himself.

Oh, I meant who had the MPD. Gio? He...he's messed up, but doesn't seem to have DID.

The absolute latest you can develop it is 6-9.

It was all inspired by one line when he was battling Red that really had nothing to do with anything really but it inspired me none the less LOL. I think it was inevitable that someone would get DID though considering how much I love to torture my characters and fascination with dissociative disorders. (Flowers for Algernon was my favorite book because of the concept of two Charlies before I even could identify what I liked about the book so much... I figured it out on like... my 3rd time reading it)

considering in special he goes back and forth between being nice to kids (the entire chapter where he is tricking Red but acting like a really nice guy who is pretty freaking clueless, also in the Yellow arc he un-froze Red after he was frozen by lorelei, and tried to help Yellow defeat Lance... oh sure it high tailed it out of there pretty quick but for a few moments at least he helped yellow, I forgot whether or not the deoxys that beat the ever-loving-crap out of the bikers that were threatening to break little Lostelle's bones for getting in their way was wild or under his control but regardless he didn't do anything when they were being attacked and when they were pissed off for him to helping them and tried to attack them he pretty much finished Deoxys's work of pulverizing them and insulted them for good measure as well- and she seems to think he must be some kind of superhero for doing that, and just.... Silver.) to being a <a href="http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MagnificentBastard>Magnificent Bastard</a>, crime lord, and over all just a cutthroat person who doesn't bat an eye at any sort of pain, destruction or death he causes so long as he gets what he wants in the end. I'd like to consider it more of finding a way to tack two completely different characteristics to the same person.

Hm, I always attributed it to extreme compartmentalism (He does it a lot in my stories. Extreme loyalty to family [it's all he's got], will kick the everliving tar out of ANYONE who threatens them [He left the bastard that raped his wife twice and killed their unborn child in a burning building to roast alive (Oh, bob, it's going to feel good writing that story!)...oh, and the guy kidnapped Silver at birth. He's asking to die.], but having this extreme dislike for most of the rest of the world...heh, started out as him wanting to get back at 'justice' because he didn't get it with his mother.)

But, I'm starting to wonder if that could be the case...
I have an acquaintance who is MPD, and from what I hear from my 'brothers', her personalities are completely different. There's one that's basically just a little girl, one that's her 'normal' one (?), I think one called 'seeker' (she's searching for a way to reconcile the personalities), and a bunch I can't recall. Among other things, she was raped at least once and there was something about a Satanic ritual...and those are F***ing messed up. ;_;

I can tell you've already done a lot of research, but would you mind if I asked one of my friends for book recs for you? The one I had the codependent crush on knows a ton about it, and even the other 'brother' knows a bunch...

I only started research because I have dissociation issues on my own (not DID though) and stumbled upon it, there are a lot of good resources online.

I've basically been reading about it for a year or two now. it will be undoubtedly difficult to pull off but at least it gives me something to do.

I actually wanted to buy some books but I fear judgment to a ridiculous extent. my step-dad already made a comment along the lines that "your problem is our sanity" which I am assuming he meant a lack thereof but then again that could have been related to one of the priests he watches on TV where all the crazy people were sent by the devil and ugh... every time I see him I wish I could punch through the TV.

You know what's hard to research, both because there's not alot on it and because its hard to read? Stuff on women raping men. I've been trying to do so more research on it, but it's hard to find anything online -_-

Because y'know, there is no one else in the world but yourself and everyone else was just sent to test your faith, amiright? But basically, Mohammed took a bunch of the stories from the Torah and the Christians, and put them in to make it seemed authentic. At one point he actually liked the Jews (in one passage, it refers to us as "our brothers"; they hid him from his enemies at one point), but when they wouldn't convert over, he had the town wiped out. And then he said "Okay, don't like them anymore. Kill them...in the3 name of Allah!" So yeah...

yep, it was in a car, thankfully they rented a nice car... but it basically went like this:

-Drive for an entire day
stop and spend the night as step-dad's friend's house who lives around DC
-Drive all of the next day
-DESTINATION!

with food and potty breaks sprinkled in.

it wasn't too bad, though sometimes I did get a little ancy about being in a small space for so long with no way to get out. It was mostly towards the end of the trip.

It STILL beats being on a plane for 22 hours u_u

OH BOB...plane rides are the worst. Especially since you were coming down here. We have one of the higher security places in the country, so you have to claim your baggage, send through the thing, then claim it again. While going through the lines forever... (although that baggage thing may be only for overseas trips)
u_u is right. When I went to Israel, we stopped in Germany first, but all total it was at least 18 hours, probabaly closer to 22...
Also, Germany is still dicks to you if you come from Israel. No kidding. >.>

I wasn't riding a plane on this particular trip, but I did when I went to France/Spain with the rest of my college level foreign language class... most of the students took french and it was REALLY awkward the few days we had in France because I knew NO French whatsoever but it made a small part of me happy when we went to Spain and other people wanted me to help them since they knew no Spanish... while they weren't outright mean or arrogant like people say they are they were certainly... uptight. Ah, differences in culture... But the Spanish people were actually really nice. Well, except if you are French, they hate the French. Go Figure.

I've been to France when I was a little girl. As long as you stay in the countryside, and don't let anyone know you're from America, you're usually okay. Seriously, make up a home in Canada when you go abroad, preferably near the American border so it makes sense that French isn't your main language :P
Oh, everyone hates the French. They're a bunch of pompous asses that can't even bother to have non-pay toilets in Paris, so the whole place smells. The only cool thing about French were the Franks, before they were French.

I've always wanted to go to Spain, since my Jewish ancestry comes from there (My Jewish last name is Moreno, though my normal one isn't). Also want to go sightseeing there. Is it really pretty?

Haha, culture differences are both fun and infuriating. I felt so at home when I was in Israel because I knew this culture, I had been brought up in the Middle East, in Saudi, so it was friendly and lovely and wonderful.
Then we had to go to Germany... X_X Oh bob, I wanted to bunch them.

Spain is 100 times better then France in my personal opinion... for one, it's actually a lot cleaner, the Spanish culture is pretty laid back, the places we visited were really pretty. (We only visited Madrid and Toledo and our tour guide who lives in southern Spain said these two cities were not all that great in comparison) just... watch out for pick pocketers, and as for the Spanish people themselves the only bad things I can say about them is that they have a lot of pride, as in nearly ridiculous amounts (it's not like arrogance... just... pride if that makes sense) and it would be well advised not to piss them off. Though I must admit the anti-France rant our tour guide did was epic and hilarious because the teacher who took us on these trips is practically in love with France and it ended up in a back and forth rant with her trying really hard to defend France. It really didn't work. But if you are looking for sight seeing specifically: I'd highly recommend Toledo (because it is a medieval city, it is really cool and the scenery is just plain breathtaking... even if it is a little disturbing because of it's history with the Spanish inquisition. One of the churches even still has the shackles of the tortured people outside it's walls) and the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid, which is a huuuuge garden. Both were my favorite parts of the trip.

And it makes perfect sense for someone to be proud, but not arrogant. The two happen to coincide a lot, though. >_> But they're proud of their heritage, of their culture. Spain has a rich history, so I cannot fault them for this. Americans, on the other hand... are mostly just arrogant. :/
