Gah, been so crazy!
Hi folks! Sorry it's been so long since I posted. Life got in the way. Hah.
So here's what's happened lately...
February:
Started taking the kids in on a more permanent basis.
March:
Dealing with 5 kids...gah...
April:
Pesach (Passover) happened.
Started taking Driving classes.
May:
The month from HELL.
The youngest and oldest girls...we'll call them A and C for now, stat giving more trouble
May 15th: My 20th birthday, and Mom and I get the feeling A and C will accuse us of something if they stay over that weekend. Sucky birthday.
May 16th: I see Star Trek. Good movie, but I had a agoraphobic/claustrophobia moment. As in most of the movie.
May 17th: Have the worst driving class ever. People find out I'm 20 and not out of High School yet, and rumours start flying. I break down after class as I have flashbacks to Middle School (where most of my problems stem from).
Memorial Day: Get to go to RenFest for my birthday. ^^
May 27th: First driving lesson
May 30th: Last Driving class! (Thank G-d)
June:
Orthodontist. Boring.
At least I'm on schedule for getting my braces off December 10th! yay!
I have one more driving lesson today at 6 pm. Then I can get my certificate, and then I can take my test! Hooray!
Current:
My adoptive brother Michael got married Sunday. I have to say it's about time, but it's also a little hard to think of him as married now. I guess since I've known him for almost 5 years, it's just weird. We had a mostly traditional Jewish wedding, with my Dad, the Rabbi, officiating. Mom did the inviitations and the programs, my friend Steve and his mom made the wedding cake, and some friends from synagogue took a lot of the pictures, so it was really neat. I've never been to a wedding before (not a really nice one like this), and it was quite nice. My only complaint is it was too warm out, I was sweating, and I managed to get gasoline (!) on my bride's-maid dress (I was the winebearer). That'll be fun to tell the dry cleaners. :-) Despite a few annoyances, such as those, and a couple of other minor ones, it was a beautiful ceremony, and a good time was had by all. I tried to give a toast to the happy couple, but I choked up and had to shorten it by a bit. Oh well. At least i got to give them their gag gift in front of EVERYONE (Hey, let's give the couple a whip and pair of handcuffs in front of over 100 people! ;) ), and everyone...well, maybe not the Baptists in the room, but everyone else cheered.
It was a beautiful ceremony, and it went well, but at the same time, thank heavens it's over. That's been a bit of a stressor, since my parents were helping plan it. Oy vay. Maybe we can get a bit of normalcy now...
Sorry that I haven't been posting stories lately, but as you can see, it's been...challenging. I promise once I get settled back down, I'll start posting again. I've been writing when I have a chance, just haven't finished anything. The stress has been such that the creative mood hits in flashes, then goes away for a bit. It's rather annoying.
Oh, and did I mention the groom got dropped during the chair dance? ^.^ It was hilarious. One of the gentlemen holding the chair was taller than the rest, and it threw the alignment off so he started slidding off. He ended up almost half-carried by the men, and he just rolled over when he fell, laughing. Poor Sara, the Bride, just held onto the back of the chair for dear life.
It's kind of weird. A little more than 6 months ago, I actually started thinking about getting married and what i would like and what I wanted in a guy and what I wanted to do the rest of my life. I still have no clue to most of that, except, I know I want my guy to be chivalrous. I've actually met a couple of men like that, though they've been in relationships already, but i'd kill for a guy like that. I'd also very strongly prefer a Jewish guy or one who was converting.
Also, I REALLY want to have my wedding at the Dahlonega Castle. http://www.cavendercastle.com/
I have also been thinking about what career I want to go into. For awhiel I thought Psychology, but now I'm considering nursing. I guess i need to look up some stuff and pray.
Hm... I can't think of anything else at the moment. I'l post more when I get a chance, including some wedding pictures when I get them, but for now, I'm exhausted, and i want to curl up in bed. G'Night and Love ya'll!

Also, apparently wedding gifts are given to the couple after the wedding nowadays... weird. Oh well.
It's good to hear from you. What have you been up to?
Hopefully I'll be posting Illness soon. I'm getting back to where I can write more often now, so...
Re: heya
I've been planning my wedding lately too, though Jon is reluctant for us to plan until we're engaged... but he also wants us to have a short engagement, like 6 months. O_O I'm like "yeah... I need more time than that to put a wedding together!" But I think we both agree that we want a DQ ice cream cake instead of a traditional wedding cake. ^_^
Re: heya
Congratulations on the AA and the, er, pre-engagement. :)
I have my own idea for a fiction novel. It's actually how I started rewriting Esther, er, Seren. Funny, she and Gio, er, Iian, are...pseudo-good guys in this one. Heck, they don't pop up until a lot later, but I want them to be interesting... :)
Re: heya
Heh, yeah... I actually had two characters work out so that I may be able to get some original fiction out of them... except that they're two mostly monogamous vampires who adopt a human baby with cerebral palsy. XD Weird how fanfiction does that...
Re: heya
Here's a weird avatar to compliment yours. ^^
Yeah, Seren and Gio are definitely not politically correct (within the story) on mine. Something about being the secret...er, "interrogators" for the king. :D You know, interrogating like Obama has "advanced interrogation techniques", which would be the same thing as was happening before. :P Or, in this case, "interrogating" like in the Spanish Inquisition...okay, not THAT mean, but...
Seren: *scowls* please, I only whip them and stuff until they give up the rebel...er, plot against the king. I don't use the Judas Chair or thumbscrew. I may be a torturer, but I'm not evil.
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! *sings* The Inquisition, what a show...
