Bloody hell...
So my grandmother's dog we're keeping is going to have to go to the pound or something because she's gotten completely out of hand. She actually bit my dad today (again), completely unprovoked. And it isn't a play bite, either... I think each of us has gotten bitten at least once -_-
Now, before anyone cries foul, let me explain<strike>no, 'splaining will take too long, let me sum up</strike>: She (I will not name the beast) started getting pretty bad when my Grandmother started going down hill, even started biting her too, if she got too close to her food. When Grandma was put in a facility up in Tuscaloosa, we got the dog... and that dog has been turning into a living hell ever since. She snarls at you if you get near her food (now it's just period), she's bitten several of us, she keeps running outside and we're scared she'll bite the neighbors (which means we would get sued...)...
In the end, it's better if she goes.
I'm both relieved and unhappy about this. I'm relieved that our family won't be in constant danger from the bitch *pun intended*, but I'm a bit unhappy that she turned out this way. Why did she end up so bad? Heaven only knows. Maybe she'll find a new home, but I doubt it, since she'll probably be listed as a threat to humans and be put under.
I actually feel a bit bad about being so hard about this, even telling my brother, who started feeling bad, that we knew this was coming, we knew she was dangerous, and to not worry about it.
Maybe I'm being a bit callous, but after awhile I knew that the dog was going to have to go. She is just too dangerous to keep.
Maybe someone will see this and think, "Geez, Cassandra, cold much?"
But I'll do just about anything to protect my family.
And I just want my family and my neighbors to be safe.
Is it too much to ask for that?
Going to try to eat something light, my body still prefers them as it heals up from Saturday/Sunday.
Later,
